Your first Sunday

Come as you are.
We’ll help with the rest.

No Episcopal experience required. Find service times, directions, what happens in worship, and a real person to answer your questions.

The simple version

You belong before you know what to do.

Arrive around 9:40 AM for the 10:00 AM Holy Eucharist. A greeter and printed bulletin will guide you. Wear what feels like you, sit wherever you are comfortable, and participate as much or as little as you wish.

What happens in an Episcopal service?

A sacred rhythm,
explained in plain language.

The service usually lasts about 75 minutes. The bulletin gives words, page numbers, and cues; watching and listening is always enough.

  1. 01

    We gather

Music begins, the ministers enter, and we pray together. People may stand, sit, or kneel; follow what is comfortable for you.

  2. 02

    We hear the Word

Readings from scripture, a sermon, the Creed, and prayers connect ancient faith with life now.

  3. 03

    We share peace

We greet one another with a handshake, wave, or simple “peace.” You will not be singled out as a visitor.

  4. 04

    We share Communion

All baptized Christians are welcome to receive bread and wine. Anyone may come forward for a blessing or remain seated.

  5. 05

    We are sent

After the final hymn, we go into the world to love and serve. You are invited—but never pressured—to stay afterward.

One trip, fully planned

901 E Friendly Avenue
Greensboro, NC 27401

The church is east of downtown, near NC A&T and Bennett College. Use the map link for live driving or transit directions.

Please call before your first visit if you need a specific accessible entrance, drop-off arrangement, or transportation assistance.

01

Driving & parking

Navigate to 901 E Friendly Ave. Arrive 15–20 minutes early so a greeter can help with parking and the best entrance.

02

Bus, campus, or downtown

Use Google Maps for current Greensboro Transit guidance. Route details change, so live directions are more dependable than a static route number.

03

Need a ride?

Select transportation help in the visit form. A church representative can follow up about available options.

Children, access & comfort

Bring your whole self—and your whole household.

Children’s voices and movement belong in worship. Church School begins at 9:00 AM, and children are always welcome in the sanctuary.

What should I wear?

Whatever helps you feel comfortable. You will see everything from suits and dresses to relaxed everyday clothing.

Will I have to introduce myself?

No. Greeters may welcome you, but visitors are not asked to stand or speak publicly.

What if I need mobility, hearing, or sensory support?

Tell us in the form below or call the office. We will identify the most helpful entrance, seating, and support available.

Can I come if I am unsure what I believe?

Yes. Curiosity, questions, and quiet presence are welcome here.

Let us make arrival easier

Tell us you’re coming—or ask anything.

This is optional. You can also simply walk through the doors Sunday morning.
