About Redeemer
Rooted in faith.
Open to all.
Greensboro's historic Black Episcopal parish—worshipping, serving, and carrying faith forward since 1909.
All have a place
A church with memory and movement.
Redeemer is a spiritual home shaped by generations of African-American Episcopal witness. We are connected to the wider Episcopal Church and Anglican Communion, grounded in scripture, tradition, reason, worship, and service.
Our mission
We are committed to uplifting the kingdom of God by spreading the gospel, increasing our spirituality, and assisting in the creation of a peaceful and harmonious world.
Our rector
The Rev. Michelle Roach welcomes visitors, returning members, families, students, neighbors, and online worshippers into the common life of Redeemer.
Our next chapter
Historic preservation, accessible welcome, community care, and a renewed home for future generations belong to one shared calling.
